Miller-St. Nazianz: Evolving with a Changing Ag Market

From farm equipment dealer to wholesale distributor to manufacturer — it's been a century of evolution and change for the company that today is known as Miller-St. Nazianz, Inc. Since 1899 when John Miller I, a farmer, opened his store in St. Nazianz, Wis., the Millers have been connected with the farm machinery business either through distribution or manufacturing.

It's this perspective — as a dealer and distributor — that Miller-St. Nazianz owner and CEO John Miller brought to the table today as his company evolved into a shortline equipment maker. "I didn't want to be put in a position where someone could walk into my office and say you're not into this or that business anymore. This is the major reason for establishing our own brands," he says.
