When you settle into the high-back adjustable seat, you’ll appreciate how quiet it is in the air-ride cab, with the engine noise isolated out behind the tank. With the comfort of the air-ride seat and having each control right at your fingertips with the multi-function joystick, armrest command center, and engine – transmission monitor, your long days will seem shorter.

Sight lines are superior – you’ll see each and every boom tip without straining, as well as your front tires while entering crop rows.

Other superior features of the pressurized heated and air-conditioned cab include active charcoal filtration with in-cab secondary filter, an instructional seat, AM/FM with CD player and weather band, auxiliary power outlet, tilting and telescoping steering column, and windshield wiper with washer.

Innovative Award-Winning HydraLink™ Suspension

The four-wheel independent suspension is hydraulically controlled and allows for a suspension travel on each wheel of 20 inches, meaning you’ll easily tame the toughest conditions and the roughest terrain. Four leveling valves and gas accumulator-cushioned suspension cylinders keep the Nitro balanced in hard turns, reducing body roll on tight turns and better boom stability.

This superior suspension provides excellent stability and ride quality, and is built to improve spraying accuracy, reduce stress and fatigue, and enhance user comfort. Combined with the Nitro’s near 50/50 weight distribution, the HydraLink™ keeps the Nitro’s wheels firmly on the ground to face tough conditions, resulting in optimal traction and minimal soil compaction.

Rear Engine For Outstanding Weight Distribution

The Cummins and Mercedes engines powering the new Nitro 4000 Series sprayer are specifically tailored to meet your demanding requirements for reliability and power. All are Tier III-compliant, electronically controlled, and use the high-pressure Common Rail systems to ensure high torque rise.

Available engine sizes range from 215 to 365 horsepower (375 with Power Bulge), the largest lineup in the application industry. The rear-mount engine provides not just better weight distribution, but easy access to engine components, all within convenient reach.

Located behind the engine away from dirt and debris is the large “Single Pass” cooling system designed to allow for more efficient and cooler air flow through all four cores. This means the ambient temperature of the air is the same passing through each core, resulting in substantially better cooling capabilities.

Horsepower is one thing, but getting it effectively to the ground, where you need it, is another. That’s why the Nitro 4000 Series uses proven, reliable systems to do just that.

Start with the Twin Sunstrand Torq-Trac™ hydrostatic pump system. The system provides balanced hydraulic power and is sized to match the wheel drive motors. With the Poclain® high-torque wheel drive motors, you have a wide range of speeds to get the job done faster and spend less time on the road.

Unlike conventional planetary gear systems used by our competitors, the Nitro’s wheel motors are essentially direct drive, meaning more power to the wheel – and fewer parts, larger pistons, and less wear. Simple, direct, powerful, and efficient.

Choose the configuration that’s right for you

The Nitro offers the tank, boom, and convenience options that are sure to meet your needs.

Start with the tank, ranging from 1000 to 1600 gallon capacities with poly and stainless steel options. A 150 gallon rinse tank can be controlled manually, or electronically from in the cab, with enough water to properly rinse the entire product system.

Our variable speed Hypro® centrifugal pump operates only at the level it needs to deliver your target rate, saving horsepower and preserving pump life.

When it comes to the boom, it has to match the ruggedness and durability of the new Nitro. That’s why the boom is constructed from high-strength steel, with a unique monobeam design to minimize component’s exposure to stress and corrosion. Featuring exceptional shock absorption, stability, and float, the result of the Nitro’s HydraFlex™ boom suspension, the monoboom ensures high working speed, long component life, high-quality spraying, and adaptability to all field types. We’ve got the right boom width for you, with 10 sizes ranging from 60’ all the way up to 120’ wide.

Precision options to maximize your productivity

Your new Nitro can be factory equipped with a wide variety of Raven® controllers and precision farming equipment to help you maximize your application efficiency.

If all you need is deadly accurate spray applications with an easy to use controller, the Raven® SCS460 or SCS4600 consoles are the choice for you. These consoles lend themselves to a future precision upgrade path through their GPS ready serial connections.

If you need professional precision controls, the Raven® Envizio Pro and Viper Pro consoles are the platforms of choice for expanding into multiple product controlling, full mapping and datalogging, AccuBoom automatic boom section control, AutoBoom automatic boom height control, as well as SmarTrax/QuickTrax assisting steering.
