AccuBoom

Miller offers Raven’s AccuBoom kits to make it easy to put together the system you need to reduce waste and skip in the field.

The AccuBoom system is a higher-end automatic boom control system system, which is used in conjunction with our Envizio Plus or Viper Precision Guidance Systems, a DGPS receiver.

AccuBoom automatically turns booms on and off, reducing overlap. With its hands-off control, AccuBoom reduces operator fatigue. With CAN AccuBoom systems, you have up to 10 boom control. (Parallel systems offer 7 boom control). AccuBoom also offers simplified coverage of point rows.

SmartBoom

The SmartBoom system provides automatic boom valve section control, which turns boom sections on or off, based on either pre-defined spray zones and/or previous coverage.

SmartBoom reduces costly spraying errors, such as skips and overlaps, and is designed to augment your Raven SCS440/450/460 or 660 console and provide a complete spraying solution. SmartBoom is designed to meet these needs while operating in the rugged agricultural environment. A front panel display makes configuring and operating the system easy and user friendly.

The SmartBoom system consists of the following three components, which are required for a complete system:

• SmartBoom controller
• SCS SCS440/450/460 or 660 Console
• GPS Receiver

The SmartBoom system is similar to the existing AccuBoom system, but it is a completely self-contained system, eliminating the need to use an Envizio Plus or Viper to control the system. Using “spray” or “no spray zone” areas, the SmartBoom controller automatically turns the boom section off if the boom section is in a previously applied area, eliminating overlaps. It also eliminates skips by turning boom sections back on after leaving a previously applied area.

AutoBoom

Spraying perfection can be achieved with Raven's automatic boom height controller - the AutoBoom. AutoBoom adjusts your booms automatically at speeds of up to 20mph, increasing your spraying speed 15-30%!

Automated boom height control can increase application accuracy and reduce boom wear-and-tear by keeping the boom level at the optimal height. Raven Autoboom allows you to spray faster and more accurately by automatically adjusting the height of your spray booms as you travel across the field. This means that you spend less time watching your booms and trying to prevent them from hitting the ground or crop. Autoboom detects changes in ground height and adjusts your boom height accordingly. Not only can you decrease driver fatigue and wear and tear on your machine, but you increase the accuracy and coverage of the application. It's a simple one-touch operation, allowing you to just sit back and drive.

Raven offers three AutoBoom systems.

AutoBoom PowerGlide systems use a gauge wheel to maintain optimum boom height and state of the art hydraulics to maintain constant hydraulic pressure in the lift cylinder. If desired, you may also purchase a secondary wheel to assist your boom.

AutoBoom PowerGlide Plus also utilizes a gauge wheel to maintain optimum boom height and state of the art hydraulics to maintain constant hydraulic pressure in the lift cylinder. PowerGlide Plus systems are typically used in pre-emergent applications. PowerGlide Plus Systems can be easily upgraded to UltraGlide systems by purchasing the Upgrade Kit.

AutoBoom UltraGlide uses state of the art ultrasonic sensors that gauge the distance to the ground. UltraGlide Systems are typically used in pre-emergent and post applications.

Raven's products continue to make agriculture easier and more profitable for growers and commercial applicators all over the world, and SmarTrax™ is no exception. SmarTrax was engineered it to be the most accurate, easy-to-use steering package in its class. Now you can work at night, in the dust or in dense fog.

SmarTrax™ systems allow for hands-free steering at speeds up to 26.9 mph and can be used for spraying, spreading, broad-acre air seeding, discing, and tillage operations. It offers sub-meter accuracy, giving a 15-30 cm (6-12 in) RMS swath-to-swath accuracy at 20 minutes with a Phoenix 200/300 receiver using WAAS.

SmarTrax™ is also available in decimetric mode, giving a 5-10 cm (2-4 in) RMS swath-to-swath accuracy at 20 minutes with the Phoenix 300 receiver using Omnistar HP

Phoenix 200 Smart Antenna

Raven's new Phoenix series GPS receivers combine the Raven receiver design with GPS engine technology from leading companies in the industry. making this line one of the most powerful and accurate receiver lines on the market. The Phoenix 200 combines Raven receiver technology with the latest Hemisphere GPS Crescent® OEM engine. The Phoenix 200 presents an economical. high-performance sub-meter receiver capable of utilizing two differential correction solutions. With an optional upgrade to e-Dif extended differential technology. the Phoenix 200 is capable of achieving GPS accuracies of a few feet without the need for a differential signal broadcast.

Phoenix 300 Receiver with Helix antenna

The Phoenix 300 combines Raven receiver technology with a Novatel OEM engine to present a dual frequency (L1/L2). high-performance receiver capable of utilizing multiple frequencies and differential correction modes.

The Phoenix 300 is a WAAS CDGPS and OmniSTAR VBS capable receiver that can be upgraded to OmniSTAR XP and HP (requires subscription service). It is capable of both Sub-meter and Decimeter correction accuracies. dependant on the correction signal being used. The Phoenix 300 also boasts such functions as Simulated Radar Output, replacing the need for a radar speed sensor, and AutoRestart Mode, which allows for quicker differential convergence times on start-up, making delays a thing of the past.

Ideal for use with the Raven SmarTrax or new QuickTrax steering systems. as well as with the Envizio Plus and RGL Lightbar guidance systems. the Phoenix 300 uses a helix-style antenna for more efficient tracking of satellites that are positioned low on the horizon. An in-cab receiver allows for instant access to configurations and settings.
