Miller STN

Nitro Series 7310

  • All about productivity

The Nitro 7310 - 1,000 and 1,200 gallon sprayers from Miller were born from the philosophy of operator comfort, high productivity and versatility. Everything that was designed into the Nitro 7310 stemmed from that belief!

Comfort                                                                                                                                                    The new SprayView cab was built specifically for the Nitro sprayer with the quiet, comfortable ride you have learned to expect from Miller. Thanks to the SprayView cab’s panoramic view, operators can see the spray pattern from every nozzle on the front mount boom. Maneuvering along fence lines, corners and waterways has never been easier – all with never looking back! The full height windshield and higher door opening makes spraying a breeze for operators of all heights. See more in the cab section below.

Productivity                                                                                                                                  Productivity is why you purchase your own sprayer. The Nitro 7310 is built around productivity. Industry leading adjustable crop clearance from 72 to 78 inches for full season spraying. A 4 wheel steer option that keeps the front and rear wheel tracking with an impressive turning radius of 13.5 feet. Multiple boom choices - 90, 100 and 120 foot time proven MonoBeam booms or 120, 132 and 135 foot Truss style booms. We offer IntelliSpray which is a system that maintains a constant droplet size as ground speed changes. IntelliSpray also gives you turn compensation and optional individual nozzle control. An added benefit is almost instantaneous on/off at the headlands. Or take a look at our Spray-Air air assist boom that provides unmatched droplet control in addition to impressive canopy penetration all with using a minimal amount of carrier.

Versatility                                                                                                                                                 The 7310 a full season sprayer, from burn down in the spring, weed control when needed, to late season nitrogen application with either a nitrogen toolbar or nitrogen drop nozzles or fungicide application at tassel stage, it can do it all! If you happen to be a seed corn grower you can also add a Detasseler. Changing from the boom to a nitrogen toolbar or to a Detasseler is a breeze with the optional quick attach system.

Comfort Zone - See your world without ever looking back

The new SprayView sprayer cab was built specifically for the Nitro sprayer – NO COMPROMISES!   Panoramic view, full height windshield and higher door opening for tall operators.  Dual jointed tilt and telescoping steering column with foot pegs get the steering wheel to exactly where you like it.  Auto climate control, outside temperature gauge, stereo radio with a CD player, weather band, XM, blue tooth and remote radio controls. 3 monitoring screens so you have the information you need in front of you without having to constantly page through different screens – all standard.

Or step it up a notch with the SprayView Luxury cab with added features like heated and vented leather trimmed seat with auto weight adjust, leather trimmed training seat, leather wrapped steering wheel, rear camera, auto on/off headlights, rechargeable built in flash light, 110 volt outlet and even a refrigerator!

Sight lines are superior – you’ll see each and every tip spray pattern without straining, as well as your front tires while entering crop rows.

The sealed cab features a variable speed pressurization fan – only runs the speed it needs to maintain the proper pressure in the cab while keep fan noise to a minimum.  Charcoal primary filtration, recirculation filter and an electronic monitoring system.

Nitro sprayers have a reputation for an exceptional ride and that ride has just gotten BETTER!!

Miller kept the time proven Hydro-Link hydraulic suspension with accumulators but now added electronic intelligence to actively control the entire suspension system.  The enhanced system actively controls small choppy bumps as well as big ones, controls body roll and tries to maintain constant weight distribution on all four wheels.  The Nitro 7310 suspension travel is an impressive 20 inches (50.8cm) which allows the sprayer to travel through waterways, over pivot irrigation ruts and other problem areas without fear of getting hung up or “bottoming out”.

You really have to drive it to appreciate the comfort and stability!

Full Season Spraying - The Nitro 7310 is truly a full season sprayer with an impressive industry leading 78 inches of crop clearance!  You think you do not always need 78 inches of crop clearance – no problem you are now able to adjust the crop clearance of the sprayer from 72 to 78 inches (182.8 to 198.1cm) on the go!  You can also lower the overall height of the sprayer for low shed doors or transporting on a truck – all from the comfort of the operator seat!

Rear engine for outstanding weight distribution

An FPT NEF series engine provides the muscle behind the Nitro 7310.  The FPT engine is 6.7 liter and rated at 285 hp (212 kw) with a power bulge to 310 hp (231 kw). They are matched to the region that they are built for by using either tier 2, tier 3 or tier 4B emission systems.  All are electronically controlled and use high-pressure common rail injection systems to ensure great fuel efficiency and high torque rise, an impressive 811 ft. lb. (100 N-m) @ 2000 rpm in the normal rpm range that you would operate the engine in.

The tilt up hood and easily removable side panel provide quick access to the engine service areas.

The cooling package is located in front of the engine up high out of the dirt and debris.  The cooling cores are a “single pass” design to allow for a more efficient and cooler air flow through all 4 cores.  This means the ambient temperature of the air passing through each core is the same, resulting in extremely efficient cooling.

The hydraulically driven fan system is variable speed and only runs as fast as needed to save power and fuel.  With this system you can obtain full fan speed at approximately 1900 engine rpm saving fuel.  There is also an optional reversible fan for extremely dirty conditions.  At timed intervals the cooling fan will slow to a stop, reverse for a predetermined amount of time to blow debris off of the air intake screens, then stop and return to normal operation.

Drive System

Get power to the ground – where you need it

Horsepower is one thing, but getting it effectively to the ground, where you need it, is another. That’s why the Nitro 7310 uses systems that do just that.

The 7310 Nitro features a Danfoss electronically controlled 165 cc, H1 hydrostatic pump system.  The final drives are equipped with Danfoss H1 series electronically controlled variable displacement piston drive motors and Farifield Torque-Hub® planetary final drives.  They are seamlessly integrated to provide optimum drive performance.  Features include full time traction control, integrated speed limiting, cruise control, engine anti-stall, engine over rev protection and much more.  Infinite speeds between 0 to 35 mph (0 to 56 kph).

Spraying System

A spray configuration that's right for you

The Nitro 7310 offers tank and boom options that are sure to increase your productivity.

Start with the right size product tank, you have the choice of either a 1000 or 1200 gallon capacity tank made of stainless steel.  An electrically controlled 150 gallon rinse system is standard equipment to make cleaning the spray system simple.   You can take that 1 step further and order the optional AutoRinse system that takes the guess work out of cleaning the spray system.  With the AutoRinse you can do the job from in the cab or at the fill station.

Our variable-speed Hypro® centrifugal pump operates only at the level it needs to deliver your target rate, saving horsepower and preserving pump life.

When it comes to the boom choices, no one offers more factory installed boom choices than Miller.  You can choose a MonoBeam boom design in sizes from 90/60, 100/60 or 120/70 foot widths (27/18, 30/18 or 36/21 m) or choose a Truss boom design from 120/73, 132/73 or 135/73 foot widths (36/22, 40/22 or 41/22 m).

IntelliSpray - We offer IntelliSpray which is a system that maintains a constant droplet size as ground speed changes.  IntelliSpray also gives you turn compensation and optional individual nozzle control. An added benefit is almost instantaneous on/off at the headlands.

Spray-Air - Or take a look at our Spray-Air air assist boom that provides unmatched droplet control in addition to impressive canopy penetration all with using a minimal amount of carrier.  The Spray-Air system also has great versatility!   You can spray conventionally if so desired for products like liquid nitrogen or you can use the air system to shake the canopy open while spraying conventionally.  The right method for the problem you are trying to solve!

Precision Farming

Precision farming options to maximize your productivity

Your new Nitro can be factory equipped with a Raven field computer and precision farming tools to maximize your application efficiency.

The Raven® Viper 4+ field computer can be factory installed and gives you features such as multiple product controlling, full mapping and data logging, AccuBoom automatic boom section control, AutoBoom automatic boom height control, as well as Raven’s new RS1 AutoSteer system with sub-meter to sub-inch accuracy options.
